My name is Geanna Georgescu and together with my daughter Margaret, are the creators and owners of Specialmoms2Specialkids.
It is very exciting for us to bring two of the most critical aspects of children’s lives in one place: Learning /Development and Natural Health.
I am a Developmental Therapist for children development in the Early Intervention field (0-6) for over 15 years.My practice has been directly in the classroom as a Special Education Resource Teacher as well as consulting to families of children with special needs.
Our goal is to provide families, like you with evidence-based learning tools (How to.. guides), strategies, resources in important areas of child development . You can use these tools to take action, TODAY.
When you are empowered with effective learning tools, you embark on a transformation journey of maximizing learning and increasing the quality of life for your child and family.
These “How to.. guides”, will help enhance your knowledge and skills to use them, on your own to take action, TODAY.
The effective strategies outlined in the Learning section are a combination of evidence-based approaches such as ABA, Routine Based Intervention, Early Intervention, and specific discipline strategies.
There are many areas around the world, where families do not access professional help to assist in coaching or providing therapy to enhance their child learning abilities; even when they have that, there is very little help for families on how to maximize learning in the HOME ENVIRONMENT.
I feel very grateful to have had the opportunity to collaborate with many amazing families of children with special needs. They taught me more precious life values and skills than any school can offer.
My educational background is in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, Autism Interventionist training as well as training in the area of visual impairment.
It has been my privilege to work with a variety of professionals and provide coaching /developmental consultation to many families of children with autism, Down syndrome, global delays and other conditions. The precious achievements I was able to witness, bring me great joy and excitement for their future.
Another aspect of my life is my passion for learning about natural ways to improve health and healing. It all started many years ago when I was in my 20’s; I had a strong desire for helping my mom overcome cancer and then continued on this path of learning.
I began to improve my knowledge of healing herbs, superfoods, supplements and used these resources to be a benefit to my own family and overcome /manage conditions such as food sensitivities, hormonal imbalance, boosting the immune system and health of the gut. I understand and believe that PREVENTION is really important for our health and well being.
This website is a perfect place to share these natural health resources in order to help families make informed choices about their child’s health, as well as their own. We all know that for children, in order to learn effectively they need to have a healthy body and this is often time, easier said than done, due to many factors. However, knowledge is power and it is in our hands to use.
Also, I love to paint nursery, whimsical acrylic on canvas as well as oriental-inspired paintings and you can see them all, in our Etsy shop ; colours brings so much joy in our life and our special place which is HOME

My name is Margaret, and I create all the Preschool Learning activities (laminated ) that you can find in our Etsy shop!
I am a Social Worker graduate in Toronto, and working for 6 years, as a part-time teacher in a private school, with preschool children. My passion is to help children achieve skills in a fun and effective way.
Learning activities I created include :
- PECS visuals in a variety of kits which serve as great tools of communication for children who are non-verbal or emerging language
- Matching, sorting, sequence, counting activities in a variety of topics such as farm animals, fruits, vehicles, insects, sea animals, wild animals ……
All activities contain real photos and each has multiple goals of learning: e.g: concept development, language and communication, increase attention span and focus (close-ended activities), fine motor (velcro attached).
In my free time, I love spending time with my puppy dog Daisy, the heart of our family and of course, hanging out with my friends and my mom and best friend!
